6.7 Dataset Provenance

Activity Stream

The Activity Stream supports Dataset provenance by displaying revisions that have been made to a Dataset and its metadata.  Put simply, the Activity Stream shows you what changes were made, when, by whom, and for what reason.  The Activity stream also tracks the release of new Dataset versions. 

To view the provenance history for your Dataset,

• Navigate to the Datasets landing page, locate your Dataset and click the Activity tab to access the Activity Stream.
• The upper right corner displays when the Dataset was last updated.
• Filter the Activity Stream by date using the Day, Week, Month increment buttons in the View panel, or specify a custom date range using the Custom button and entering start and end dates using the date picker.
