3 In the VRE, Datasets are defined as structured collections of files, folders, and metadata annotations that can be organized in a customized fashion independent of the Project folder structure. The// //VRE Dataset feature allows VRE members to add and organize project data, enrich the collection with annotations, validate data structures, and create multiple tracked versions.

19 * Any VRE member with Project Collaborator, Project Administrator, or Platform Administrator role can create a Dataset.
20 * Datasets can only be viewed and edited by the Dataset creator.  //Future releases of the VRE will include expanded options for Dataset sharing and collaboration. //
