4.2 File Properties

A File’s Properties can be viewed by clicking the Action menu icon beside the file and selecting Properties.

General – Displays File Name, Added by, Creation date, File Size, ge-id, Path and Tags.
File Attributes – Displays and allows editing of File Attributes, key-value pairs that are made available through Attribute templates.
Data Lineage Graph – Displays a history of the file’s processing activity.
Preview – The Action menu for ZIP files will include the option to preview the contents of the ZIP file.

Modifying File Properties

The General section of the File Properties displays the file’s name, the user that added the file to its current folder, the date and time the file was created, and the size of the file. Users can make modifications to an individual file's Tags and Attributes in this section.

Modifying File Attributes

The File Attributes section of File Properties displays the name of the Attributes template applied to the selected file and allows you to view and edit the File’s Attributes.

To change a file attribute, click the Edit button next to the attribute, make the required change and click Save. File Attributes can be edited by the File Uploader or a Project Administrator.

Modifying Tags

If no file tags have been assigned, click New Tag to add one or more file tags. To modify or remove existing tags, click Edit Tags. When adding a new tag, press the Enter key to complete the entry of the new tag. When done editing tags, click Finish Edit.
